Sending you light and love in this trying time.
Hello friends,
I hope you are all safe, healthy, and inside during the Coronavirus Quarantine. I'm sure at some point during all of this you've felt dread, devastation, fear, and uncertainty, as I have. We are going to get through this, and I hope all of you are using this time to heal, rest, work, recover, and process.
Here are some thing I've been doing for the past month in lock-down that have made me feel good and kept me creatively busy!
Enhancing and revamping my home studio so I can transition my full time Voiceover career to work remotely and from home!
I recently took Rachel Chavkin's digital Masterclass, "How I Direct Text" with NYTW's Mondays @3 series. I'm taking another with Celia Keenan-Bolger next week!
I'm in a digital brunch group that reads plays and discusses them in-depth. Up next we are covering Thornton Wilder's skin of our teeth.
I've been reading a LOT and hope to start a #PlayPerDay challenge soon!
I'm doing Voiceover for an absurd adventure mystery series called Tower of Babylon!
I've had a self tape and live digital audition, one for an off broadway play, and the other for a regional musical.
I'm spending a lot of wonderful time with my angel of a dog, Daisy.
I've been cooking tons and nourishing my body and soul with fun recipes.
I've been consuming a lot of television and movies. Part leisure, part acting homework, right?
I've also been singing a lot, freeing my voice, to heal and process. Here is a cover of Holland Teed's "Watercolors" with Jay Cobian on ukulele. Be safe, be well, and this too shall pass. ❤️
